Have your early breakfast and get ready to trek into the forest for chimpanzees. You’ll be briefed and given a ranger guide to lead you through the forest to the points where chimpanzees are expected to be. You may spot other animals like L’hoest monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, mangabeys, baboons, elephants, birds among others. Tracking will end at mid-day and you’ll exit the park to Fort Portal town for lunch before proceeding to Queen Elizabeth national park. As you leave Fort Portal town, you’ll have a great view of Tooro Kingdom palace which is located on a hill and is known to have had the youngest king to taking over the throne in the whole world. The views on the right from Fort Portal to Queen Elizabeth will be of the ranges of Mt. Rwenzori. You’ll arrive at Queen Elizabeth in about two hours and go for a boat ride at 4:00pm. After the boat cruise at 7pm, you’ll check in at your lodge, have dinner and rest.
