Day 1 : Transfer from the Airport

Upon arrival at the Airport, our safari guide will be waiting to pick you up and transfer you to the hotel for relaxation and a briefing for the trip, if time allows. Depending on the time of arrival, it’s possible to do an activity such as a Mabamba Swamp visit, visit UWEC, or take a walk around Entebbe town if you arrive early. All activities are optional.

Day 2 : Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After your relaxed breakfast, you’ll start off with the scenic and enriching journey that introduces you to the heart of Uganda’s countryside. We pass through vibrant towns, rural villages, and lush agricultural landscapes, offering a glimpse into everyday Ugandan life. Along the journey, you will see rolling hills, tea and banana plantations, roadside markets, and distant mountain ranges. En route, you’ll stop over at the Equator for photography, refreshments, and an opportunity to stand both in the northern and southern Hemispheres at once. Later, you’ll proceed to the Ankole region, known for its long-horned cattle with open savannah as you drive towards Queen Elizabeth National Park with views of the carter lakes and the foothills of the Rwenzori mountains, often referred to as the “Mountains of the moon.”

Day 3 : Full-day Activities in Queen Elizabeth National Park

Early morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, the best area for wildlife viewing. This is when animals are most active, offering excellent chances to spot lions, elephants, buffalo, Uganda Kobs, hyenas, and various antelope species. In the afternoon, you will enjoy the Kazinga Channel boat cruise, one of the highlights of Queen Elizabeth National Park. You’ll enjoy an evening game drive with Crater Lake visits before sunset for a scenic drive with beautiful views and photography.

Day 4 : Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, you will depart Queen Elizabeth and begin a scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. The journey passes through rolling hills, rural villages, and lush farmlands. Along the way, you will enjoy views of tea plantations, banana gardens, and traditional homesteads offering insight into daily life in the southwestern part of Uganda. The route also skirts the edge of the Albertine Rift Valley, providing stunning panoramic views of the forested Landscapes and distant mountain ranges.

Day 5 : Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a once-in-a-lifetime wildlife experience. After an early morning briefing, you’ll set off with expert guides and trackers into the dense rainforest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. The trek can take from one to several hours, depending on the location of the gorillas on that day. This required moderate fitness. Once found, you are allowed a magical one hour to observe how they feed, play, and interact in their natural habitat.

Day 6 : Drive to Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast, you will depart Bwindi Impenetrable and begin the scenic drive to Lake Mburo National Park, a journey that takes about 5 hours. This transfer offers a beautiful change of scenery as you travel from the misty highland forests of southwestern Uganda to open savannah landscapes.
Upon arrival, you’ll start with the afternoon game drive in the park as you proceed to your accommodation for check-in, relaxation before you embark on the evening and night game drive.

Day 7 : Drive back to Entebbe

After your relaxed breakfast, you’ll start off with the game walk in the park alongside your ranger guides. This experience gives you a chance to enjoy a safari walk in the National Park and get closer to wildlife such as the Zebra’s, amongst others. Later, you’ll drive out of the park with an en route stopover at the Equator for photography and lunch, before proceeding to the airport for your departure.
